My story may be similar to yours. An aspiring artist once hopeful of a world that takes advantage of you in every way it can. Because of this I’ve realized at an early age this world will not change for you, rather you must change the world if you wish to improve your conditions. My mission is to build a platform where the stories I create can prosper without the uncaring exploitation of webcomic companies who profit off artists free labor.
Because us artists have been conditioned to undervalue our labor, said companies have grown too comfortable taking and profiting off what we produce practically for free, even though it is the artist that produces what makes these platforms profitable. In no other industry are you expected to work hours on end for free. So for me to be able to work in a healthy way, there needs to be monetization. The plan is every long series I produce will be monetized after the first chapter, I think thats fair :p. Especially since I will work my hardest to make the best stories on this platform, for all of you. Stories I’d like to be intuitive, constructive, and humanitarian in nature, where they hopefully leave you questioning and empowered after reading. This is the stage of promise, a promise that the architect of this site will deliver in producing self published works that inspire those who read them.
If this site kicks off, the stage of promise will be over! Any creator who wishes to publish on this platform would have the opportunity to do so. And together we will succeed where other organizations have failed. Meaning all creators who publish, not just a few, but all will have the ability to live off their works. We would all together share the pool of wealth created from our works by equity, further strengthening the individual and group. This will give you the means to create stories you want to tell – creative, emotional, and inspiring stories unable to manifest without the right environment. No more working months on end to recieve likes and comments as the only compensation for your labor. Creators, readers, from all around the world can work together to liberate us all from those who created platforms to favor the employer, not the artist nor the reader.That is the goal, it’s going to take a while for this platform to fill out. And although I’m only a one man team, I feel as if my time of being alone is nearing it’s end. But in the meantime, hope you enjoy and share what I put out, and continue to follow the stories I create for you all.
